Perched on the River Teign, Gidleigh Park enjoys a truly beautiful location on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park, within 107 acres of grounds. For those who wish to explore, the landscape offers a rich diversity of activities including walking, fishing, horse riding, rock climbing and mountain biking. Known for its culinary offering and award-winning restaurant, Gidleigh Park offers a home from home warmth as soon as guests arrive.
Beautifully furnished, there are luxurious fabrics alongside antiques sourced by the Brownsword family and exquisite art framing the walls. The 24 bedrooms overlook the gardens and the river, and they are all individual in style and design including a spa suite, family rooms and even The Pavilion, a thatched cottage within the grounds. With the hotel being one of only 43 in the UK to hold two Michelin Keys, the hotel’s restaurant also holds a Michelin Star, with the kitchen headed up by Executive Head Chef Ian Webber.
Menus are carefully created following the seasons and defined by the freshness and availability of ingredients, with Gidleigh Park’s wine cellar one of the UK’s biggest too.
Competition closes on 3 December 2025.
