The ultimate destination for booze and ball games has landed in London and, to celebrate its launch, you’ve got the chance to win a no-expense-spared evening out in it.
Roxy Ball Room — which brings the playground to the bar — has already taken Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds by storm. It opens the doors to its shiny new St Mary Axe location (opposite the Gherkin, and just a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street station) on 10 April. Head here to sip cocktails, bop along to rock and indie bangers, and snack on American-style street food, all while getting stuck into a dizzying array of games.
Until 25 April, our readers have the chance to win a £500 voucher to spend on an epic night out at Roxy Ball Room.* With one of these, you’ll be able to try out pretty much any games that tickle your fancy. Many are ball-based (the clue’s in the name), with classics like American pool, arcade-style basket ball and ping pong, as well ones with a twist:
Crazy pool. Your average pub pool table, this ain’t. Navigate crazy golf-style obstacles as you attempt to sink balls or block your opponent with this unique, exclusive-to-Roxy game.
Duck pin bowling. Ten pin bowling’s little sibling demands finesse over force. Duck pin bowling utilises lighter balls and shorter lanes, and moves at a faster pace as a result.
Beer pong. While blending booze and ball games is kind of Roxy Ball Room’s whole deal, drinking is an intrinsic to beer pong. You know the drill — successfully chuck a ball into one of your opponent’s cups, and they have to chug the contents.
Roxy Ball Room, St Mary Axe isn’t just about ball games, though. There’s also tech shuffle, ice-free curling, tech darts, a virtual shooting range experience and even karaoke to get stuck into. Whatever kind of competitive fun you’re after, this venue has it covered, with a banging playlist to soundtrack your evening out, to boot.
