Cune’s wines are sold all over the world, and in its home country of Spain, its crianza rioja is a best seller. Cune, the Ambassadors of Spanish wine, wants to share the magic with you, so enter this competition, and you could have the chance to taste Spain with a case of Cune Crianza Rioja, worth over £70. We’ll toast to that!
Funnily enough, Cune’s name originated from a spelling mistake. Back in 1879, it proudly carried the initials C.V.N.E., which stood for ‘La Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España’ meaning ‘The Northern Spanish Wine Company’ in English.
When a simple typographic error replaced the letter ‘V’ with a ‘U’, this accidental new name stuck, and rioja fans all over the world now know these special wines simply as ‘Cune’. There may have been an error in Cune’s naming, but there’s no mistaking how great its crianza rioja is.
Imagine a wine that offers a lively, concentrated nose with flavours of red fruits and glazed flowers. A silky red filled with ripe, velvety tannins and a long finish that lingers with notes of sour cherry. Enter to win and experience this excellence for yourself.
